Tabor picked to win KCAC

Tabor College football was picked by Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference coaches and media to win the conference this fall.

The Bluejays received four of nine possible first-place votes in the coaches’ poll and 11 of 18 in the media poll. They narrowly edged out Ottawa in both polls.

The Bluejays were 8-2 in 2012, with a 7-1 record in the conference. Head coach Mike Gardner was 2012 coach of the year, and Billy Hickman was assistant coach of the year.

Tabor has three returning players who received first team conference honors last year, and two second-team honorees.
