Tabor women ranked 25th in NAIA

The Tabor College Women’s basketball team is ranked 25th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II national poll.

It is the first ranking for Tabor since the 2006-07 season, which was the last season Tabor made the national tournament.

The Blue Jays are 15-7 this season and 11-1 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference games. The team went 7-21 last season.

The team is a mixture of 11 newcomers, six freshmen and five transfer students, and 14 returning players. Nine of those players are from Kansas, Kendra Flaming of Goessel being one of them.

Janelle Rust, formerly of Berean Academy, is leading the Blue Jays in points, 15.7 per game, and rebounds, 7.8 per game.
