Time to vote
To the editor:
It’s that time of year when it is up to the voting public to decide whom to vote for in the primary election.
Citizens must weigh the options involved in deciding which candidate will make the most sense in carrying out the wishes of how their county district should be run — which candidate will work best for the residents of that district.
Citizens must decide whether they want to vote for someone who will continue to keep things the same as always or for someone with fresh ideas who wants to move the county forward.
Our county has been stagnant for quite some time with population, businesses, and school enrollments declining.
We need to look at lowering taxes; bringing in industries, ag services, and other businesses; promoting tourism with our two lakes; reducing the number of delinquent taxpayers; helping seniors, veterans, and the disabled on fixed incomes from losing their homes.
We need to move the county forward, and it will take county government, city governments, and special districts to work together to move in the right direction.
As residents, this is your time to make the right decision in voting for the best candidate who will move your district and county forward.
Make the right choice and vote!
