‘Randy’ Richmond
A celebration of life for Randall “Randy” Ray Richmond, 64, Salina, who passed away Oct. 4, 2025, at Salina Regional Health Center, will be noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 25. 2025, at the home of Rodney Richmond, 2049 Sunflower Rd., rural Marion.
A private family graveside service also is planned.
Randy was born Feb. 2, 1961, in Marion and graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1980. On Aug. 31, 1985, he married the love of his life, Ramona.
Randy worked as a machinist for much of his life, taking great pride in his craft.
His strong work ethic led him through various roles, including many years at a local meat locker.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he considered opening day of whitetail season his “national holiday” and loved sharing his passion for the outdoors with his children.
Known for his sense of humor, Randy believed that if he gave you a hard time, it meant he liked you.
He was hardworking, handy, and always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
His granddaughter, Parker — affectionately called “Little Miss” — was the light of his life, and nothing made him prouder than being her grandpa.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona Richmond, of the home; daughter Rebecca Young and husband Bobby of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; son Ryan Richmond of Tampa; granddaughter Parker Richmond; brothers Rodney Richmond and wife Diane of Marion and Bradley Hudgens and wife Marlene of Wichita.
He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Wanda Richmond; sister Rhonda Schinnerer; and grandparents Les and Opal Gilbert and Fritz and Henrietta Richmond.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to an FFA chapter in Randy’s honor in care of Jost Funeral Home, PO Box 266, Hillsboro KS 67063.
