Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Oct. 12 — A report was made that a truck had hit two guard posts in the 600 block of N. Ash St. but no accident report was needed. A report was made of a door-to-door salesman working without a permit.

Oct. 13 — A set of found keys was returned to its owner. A report was made of a non-injury accident at Ash St. and US-56. A welfare check was done for a possibly suicidal person in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St.

Oct. 14 — A gas line break was reported in the 100 block of N. Main St. Police spoke to a person about underage driving requirements. A complaint was made of a dog running free at Ash and D Sts.

Thursday — A transient person was checked on US-56. A complaint was made of burglary in the 300 block of N. Madison St.

Friday — A noise complaint was made in an alley between Cedar and Date Sts. A report of a suspicious person in the 900 block of S. D St. proved unfounded.

Saturday — A property dispute reported in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St. was determined to be a civil issue. A non-injury accident was investigated at A and Main Sts. A report was made of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. A report was made of a possible protection order violation. A found vehicle tag was returned to its owner. A noise complaint in the 600 block of E. D St. resulted in police disrupting a large party.

Sunday — A traffic complaint was reported on US-56. A report was made of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. A report was made of a child custody dispute in the 100 block of E. 1st St.

Oct. 12 — Motorists were warned for parking in a no-parking zone, and for having passengers who were not wearing seatbelts. A motorist was warned for speeding in the 1500 block of Lawrence St.

Oct. 13 — Motorists were warned for speeding on US-56 near Cedar St., and on US-56 near Upland Rd.

Oct. 14 — Officers served an arrest warrant in the 200 block of S. 3rd St. Officers spoke to a person about a suspicious vehicle. Police spoke to a person about a civil issue.

Thursday — A person was warned about their dog being loose. A motorist was warned for not wearing a seatbelt in the 100 block of Eisenhower Rd.

Friday — A motorist was warned for not having a taillight on US-56 near Upland Rd.

Saturday — Officers provided traffic control and participated in a 5k race. Police spoke to a person about a civil issue. A motorist was warned for using an improper turn signal near Main and 4th Sts.

Sunday — A report was made of suspicious activity in the 300 block of N. Freeborn St. A motorist was warned for not having a tag light near Cedar St. and US-56. A report was made of a disturbance in the 300 block of N. Cedar St. but no action was taken.

Peabody

Oct. 12 — Residents were warned for living in homes that did not have water supply in the 400 block of Plum St. and the 100 block of Sycamore St. A motorist was cited for speeding on US-50.

Oct. 13 — An investigation was made for battery and criminal damage to property in the 200 block of E. 2nd St. No arrest have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

Thursday — A motorist was cited for speeding on US-50.

Friday — A property dispute in the 200 block of S. Olive St. was determined to be a civil issue.

Saturday — A motorist was cited for speeding on US-50.

Sunday — Motorists were cited for speeding on US-50, and for speeding and driving with a suspended license on US-50.
