Sylvia Ehrlich

A private family inurnment at Strassburg Cemetery, rural Marion, is planned for Sylvia A. Hull Ehrlich, 59,  who passed away April 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by family after a gallant battle with cancer.

She was born August 12, 1964, in New Orleans to Edgar and Christine (Crawford) Hull.

She received her bachelor’s in education from Texas A&M University at Commerce. She received her master’s in English education and her master’s in counselor education from Fort Hays State University.

She was united in marriage on March 6, 2004, to Darryl Ehrlich in Richardson, Texas. They soon would move to rural Marion, building a home of her design for their family.

She had one son, Jacob. She was proud of his career accomplishments.

Her passion was education. She was a high school English teacher, beginning her career in Texas and then in Kansas.

She later became a school counselor at McPherson High School, retiring in 2022.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her sister, Tracy Hull.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Darryl Ehrlich of Marion; her son, Jacob Ehrlich of Austin, Texas; her father, Edgar Hull of Middleton, Wisconsin; her mother, Christine Hull of Wichita; and her twin brother, Lee Hull of Middleton, Wisconsin.
